Chevrolet Stands Strong with Country Music in 2014 Scott Frans May 30, 2014 Iconic Automaker Partners with Iconic Music Festival For the Ninth Year NASHVILLE – CMA and Chevrolet – the Official Ride of Country Music – continue their partnership and bring exciting fan experiences to the 2014 CMA Music Festival, June 5-8, in downtown Nashville. “CMA has enjoyed a great partnership with Chevy for the past nine years,” said Sarah Trahern, CMA Chief Executive Officer. “We value their commitment to our genre and they always bring new and exciting activations to CMA Music Festival.” Chevrolet cars and trucks have been featured in songs by artists as diverse as Don McLean and Jay-Z, but no genre has embraced the iconic autos like Country Music. Country artists including Jason Aldean, Luke Bryan, Florida Georgia Line, Miranda Lambert, Tim McGraw, Brad Paisley, Blake Shelton, Taylor Swift, Shania Twain, Carrie Underwood, and Trisha Yearwood have recorded songs about road trips, falling in and out of love, or learning how to drive in a Chevrolet. “Since the invention of the car radio, technology has continued to evolve the way we listen to music in our vehicles,” said Paul Edwards, U.S. President of Chevrolet Marketing. “One thing that hasn’t changed is the special relationship Chevrolet enjoys with popular music and the artists who perform it. Of the 1,000-plus songs that prominently feature Chevrolet products, no genre has embraced the breadth and depth of Chevrolet’s pop culture standing like Country Music. This well-documented affection for the brand among Country artists and their fans makes the CMA Music Festival in Nashville a natural fit for Chevrolet.” “Chevrolet is the pinnacle example of a brand partner that brings incredible value to our Festival through engaging artist programming, activities, and fan contests,” said Damon Whiteside, CMA Senior Vice President of Marketing and Partnerships. “This year we added more exciting social and viral marketing components to our partnership that will continue to meet our objectives of providing entertainment value to our fans and positioning Chevy as the automotive brand of choice among Country Music consumers.” The 2014 CMA Music Festival Kick-Off Concert gets the party started on Wednesday, June 4, at 11:00 AM/CT on the Chevrolet Riverfront Stage.
