NASHVILLE – The Country Music Association announced today the addition of Lizzie Daniel as Vice President of Marketing. Daniel has over 16 years of integrated media, marketing, and management experience creating content partnerships and strategic digital initiatives globally in the digital, music, editorial, and radio industries. As Vice President of Marketing she will provide strategic leadership to CMA’s marketing, media planning, creative services, digital initiatives, and international strategies, including content development and distribution planning.

Prior to joining CMA, Daniel served as VP of Brand Solutions at Tinder/Match Group, which includes 40 plus properties such as Match, OKCupid, Meetic, & ParPefeito.  She built a national sales team from the ground up while building out overall go-to-market strategy including first looks at innovation, native content platform offerings, branded content programs solutions to some of the largest brands & agencies in the world. She was promoted twice over her almost three years at Match Group building a sales team from three to 11 in the first year. Daniel launched the first native ad solutions on Tinder partnering with Anheuser Busch’s Bud Light and Wrigley’s Orbit Gum for the first campaigns.

Previously her love for technology led her to join Editorialist, a premier online boutique and shoppable magazine featuring the top edit in luxury accessories and fine jewelry, as Luxury Advertising Sales Director.  She developed and executed brand partnerships around this streamlined content-meets-commerce platform. Daniel was tasked with creating, presenting, and closing integrated online editorial programs, curated experiences and custom partnerships to support luxury brand goals.

Prior to Editorialist, Lizzie worked at Rolling Stone as the Advertising Manager where she developed strategic alliances, cultivating relationships and generating new business with top brands and non-endemic advertisers. Here she exceeded digital revenue goals by creating custom online programs, mobile marketing campaigns, and co-branded experiences.

For more than ten years Lizzie called Nashville home, working in both the music industry and media.  She was at Gannett’s Nashville Lifestyles more than eight years, focusing on national fashion, retail and beauty brand partnerships. She was quickly promoted to Promotions & Style Advertising Director and began traveling to major markets uncovering new marketing programs by creating and selling custom content integrations. She exceeded quota for all four years as Director, selling digital and print programs to national clientele while handling management and promotions duties. She also worked stints at Dreamworks Records, iHeart/Clear Channel Communications, and Mercury Records.

Daniel will report to CMA Chief Marketing Officer Damon Whiteside.
