John Karl | "CMA Music Festival: Country's Night to Rock"
JohnKarl
John was a success before even moving to Nashville. Nominated for North East CMA Entertainer of the Year and Best Male Vocalist, John has had a No. 1 on the MP3.com country chart with “There Goes the Neighborhood” and “Small Town” was featured in the movie American Reunion. “If you want to know where country is headed, just give a listen to John Karl,” says Rodney Phelps, a top Nashville attorney who also worked with Garth Brooks and Chris Cagle.

John won the local Colgate Country Showdown in Upstate NY and had a song on Christian Country Radio with “Just Love Her” in 2003. He has toured the USA and opened for National acts; Ricochet, Daryl Worley, Zac Brown, Brantley Gilbert and Craig Morgan just to name a few at venues from the famous Tootsies in Nashville to Civic Center’s with over 10,000 listeners. He has performed at over 200 shows a year for 7 years running, many different festivals including Nashville’s CMA Festival and was the “House Artist” in 2008-2009 at the Wildhorse Saloon in Nashville and continues as tthe weekend house artist at Legends Corner and The Sateg on Nashville’s Honky Tonk Row. This year John has been on a radio tour promoting his first Radio Single “Redneck Rich” which is still climbing the Music Row Charts and playing across the entire USA. The goal for the year is to let people hear about John Karl and to still perform weekly. John currently is one of the top 3 acts on Broadway and continues to pack the venue he is performing at night after night.

John Karl is the next big thing, with the right attitude, music, and performance style. He can get wild and pull out a tear-jerker right behind it. He knows what the fans want and he gives it to them.
Growing up in Niskayuna, N.Y., John has loved music all of his life and began singing at a young age. After high school he studied Graphic Design, was part of a professional water-ski team called the Coors Light U.S. Water-ski Show Team where he produced and performed the show and was a local Club DJ. While singing at a ski team function, a local funder made him an offer he could not refuse and helped him go to Nashville.

John moved to Nashville on Labor Day of 2002. He spent the next two years learning everything he could about the Nashville music business. He networked and got into writing circles and formed the duo Kalamity Jane. Soon after John went solo and began work on his self-produced album Redneck Rich Hillbilly Happy, released 2007. Recorded his second “Are You Ready For This” in 2010 and has since hit the charts running. Due out in Jan 2013 is John’s second Radio Single “That’s What I Believe” which has been slated to be John’s breakout anthem. Listen for it in Feb 2013 on your radio station and in your friends car! It’s looking like 2014 is going to be his year!
