CONNECT TO CMA MUSIC FESTIVAL
Subscribe to CMA’s free email newsletter, the CMA Exclusive.
Launched as Fan Fair® in 1972, the very first Festival was attended by 5,000 people and was held at Nashville’s Municipal Auditorium. The event moved to the Tennessee State Fairgrounds in 1982, then to Downtown Nashville in 2001. The 2010 and 2011 Festivals sold out Nashville’s LP Field with 65,000 Country fans attending per day. The 2013 festival’s daily attendance was a record-setting 80,000.
In 2004, the CMA Music Festival was chronicled in a 2-hour primetime, network TV special on CBS. The following year the TV special – now known as “CMA Music Festival: Country’s Night to Rock” – jumped to ABC, where it has aired annually ever since. In 2009 the special grew to be 3 hours long.

KEEP THE MUSIC PLAYING
In 2006, CMA’s Artist Relations Committee led by Kix Brooks created a unique program to support music in public schools, and did so on behalf of the many artists who perform free each year at CMA Fest. The CMA Foundation’s Keep the Music Playing program has since donated more than $8.9 million to programs furthering music education. Learn more about KTMP at CMAfoundation.com.

AUTOGRAPH SIGNINGS SCHEDULE, PROCESS AND HINTS
The autograph process was overhauled for the 2012 and 2013 CMA Music Festivals, and some of those changes will return in 2014 with a few updates. The four-day ticket does not guarantee a meet and greet, but it does allow you entry into Fan Fair X. An autograph drawing will be held again this year. CMA listened to fan feedback, and only about 10% of artists signing in Fan Fair X will require a ticket. The other 90 percent will not need tickets to get autographs! CMA will announce more info about this year’s drawing process soon. Check back here on CMAfest.com for updates.
FAN PHOTO LINES
Fan Photo Lines are a huge benefit for CMA Fest four-day ticket holders. With a four-day ticket, you can take photos directly in front of the stages at LP Field (Nightly Concerts) and Riverfront Park (Daily Concerts). This lets YOU get up close to your favorite artist’s performance, no matter where your seats are located at LP Field!
- Please note that Fan Photo Lines access is reserved ONLY for four-day Ticket holders.
- Due to Fan Photo Line demand and volume of participants, the lines must keep moving to accommodate all eligible fans. Event staff and signage will be onsite to assist in this process.
- Entry points for this year’s photo lines are still TBD. Signs will be posted at all entry points during the festival.
