Darius Rucker, CMA Foundation to Announce Special Grant for Metro Nashville Public Schools Scott Frans November 3, 2015 NASHVILLE, Tenn. – Country star Darius Rucker and the CMA Foundation will announce a special grant for Metro Nashville Public Schools on Friday, Nov. 6, at the National League of Cities’ Congress of Cities. The 2015 grant marks a decade-long commitment by CMA, and will support MNPS initiatives aimed at bettering resources strengthening teacher talent in music classrooms across the city. The grant is made possible by the public–private partnership of CMA, MNPS and the Nashville Public Education Foundation. Mayor Megan Barry, Vice Mayor David Briley, and other city and school leaders will join music industry executives and CMA Award winner Rucker in announcing the new grant.
