Country Around the World

Promoting Country Music Abroad

For more than 50 years, the Country Music Association’s mission has been to promote Country Music throughout the world. CMA’s membership consists of industry professionals not only in the United States, but in dozens of countries, including Australia, Canada, France, German, Japan, The Netherlands, Switzerland, the United Kingdom and many more.

Media outlets travel from all over the globe to cover CMA’s signature events, the CMA Awards and CMA Music Festival, each year. CMA also recognizes international artists, journalists, promoters and more with the CMA International Awards.

Recognizing Excellence

Since 1990, CMA has recognized outstanding achievements by Country Music artists, industry executives, touring professionals, radio broadcasters, and those in the media who have contributed and helped in both furthering the popularity of Country Music and bringing attention to the Country Music format in their region, territory or country.
