John and Jacob Present CMA Foundation Grants to Nashville Music Education Programs

NASHVILLE – John and Jacob made a special appearance at Musicians Corner today in Nashville to present CMA Foundation grants to the outdoor concert organizers, as well as W.O. Smith School.

The grants were presented just as students from W.O. Smith Camp BackBeat wrapped their performance on the Musicians Corner stage in Centennial Park. Accepting the grants on behalf of W.O. Smith and Musicians Corner were program Executive Directors Jonah Rabinowitz and John Tumminello, respectively.

The grants, which were announced earlier this year, fund W.O. Smith camps – including Camp BackBeat – for low-income students and enhanced musical experiences in the Kidsville area of Musicians Corner.

CMA created the nonprofit (501C3) CMA Foundation in 2011. Guided by the generosity of the Country Music community, the CMA Foundation focuses on improving and sustaining music education programs everywhere while supporting worthwhile causes important to the Country Music Association. To date, the CMA Foundation has donated more than $11 million to music education initiatives across the country. Grants are made on behalf of artists such as John and Jacob (Jacob Bryant, John Davidson, Trevor Davis, Austin Smith, and Jake Thrasher) who perform each year for free during CMA Music Festival.

John and Jacob will also perform on the Musicians Corner stage tomorrow.
