NASHVILLE – CMA Award winners Kacey Musgraves and Shane McAnally visited with CMA Foundation beneficiary students at the Doris Miller Auditorium Saturday in Austin, prior to their CMA Songwriters Series performance at SXSW.

The pair spoke to students about the songwriting process, gave insight into different careers in the music industry, and performed several acoustic songs for the group.

One attending student, Ty Grubb, surprised Musgraves by asking her to sing a duet. She obliged, and the pair stunned the crowd with “Oh, Tonight.”

The CMA Foundation focuses on improving and sustaining music education programs everywhere, while supporting worthwhile causes important to CMA. For more information, visit CMAfoundation.org.
