CMA Announces New Hires

NASHVILLE – The Country Music Association announced today the addition of Emily Evans as Director, Strategic Partnerships; Angela Brown as Accounting Coordinator; Mandi Naylor joins the Live Events department as Production Coordinator; and Justin Randall as Network Administrator.

Before joining CMA, Evans was Brand Manager at st8tmnt where she pursued new business and client opportunities helping companies and artists develop their brands into recognizable, profitable entities that can forge lasting relationships with fans and consumers. Prior to that, she worked at 13 Management as day-to-day manager and later as the point person for all branding, strategic partnerships and marketing for Taylor Swift. Preceding her stint at 13 Management, Evans worked at MAC Presents where she managed the strategic partnerships between the artists, their representatives and the brands that sponsor events and tours. Originally from Cleveland, Tenn., Evans graduated summa cum laude from Carson-Newman College with a degree in business management and marketing.

Brown joins CMA from Tractor Supply Company where she was the Accounting Coordinator in the General Accounting department. Brown has an MBA from Indiana Wesleyan University.

“Angi is a welcome addition to the F&A team,” said Amy Smartt, CMA Senior Vice President of Finance and Administration. “Her education and work experience make her a valuable resource to CMA.”

Prior to joining CMA, Naylor was a freelance events producer working with Freeman Enterprises on events including the Luke Bryan Farm Tour 2013, Music City Gives Back Concerts, the Capitol Street Party, Nashville Ultra Marathon 2013, Urban Runoff 2013, and the Mayor’s 5k Challenge. She earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Organizational Communication from Middle Tennessee State University.

“The CMA Live Events team is committed to delivering the highest standard when it comes to the events we produce,” said Chris Crawford, CMA Senior Director of Live Events. “Mandi’s experience and passion will help us continue to achieve this mission.”

Randall comes to CMA from JRConsulting where he provided technology consulting support and network installation for multi-user environments. He assisted Bridgestone Arena as an IT infrastructure consultant on many of their major events including the CMA Awards, CMT Awards, and the NCAA and SEC basketball tournaments.

“We’re very excited that Justin has joined our department,” said Ken Sanderson, CMA Director of Information Technology. “He has more than 19 years of experience in many aspects of corporate and events IT and will be instrumental in keeping CMA on the forefront of technology.”
