CMA Awards 50/50 Content a Sure Thing
NASHVILLE – When is 50/50 a sure thing? When it is a 50-part video series showcasing the most memorable moments of five decades of the CMA Awards.
CMA is poised to rollout new, original video content, including artist commentary on historical moments, celebrating the 50th Anniversary of the CMA Awards. The series, dubbed “CMA Awards 50/50,” starts today via CMA’s social platform of more than 3 million users.
“We have such a rich history and legacy,” said Sarah Trahern, CMA Chief Executive Officer. “The anniversary of our Awards is the perfect opportunity to share that content with our fans as we gear up for Country Music’s Biggest Night™ in November.”
The series features themed video packages covering a range of topics from winning moments, powerful performances, fashion over the years, cross-genre collaborations, funniest host moments, and more. The episodes will be released weekly until later this summer, when CMA will release two each week leading up to the broadcast of “The 50th Annual CMA Awards” in November.
CMA will post a teaser of the “CMA Awards 50/50” series on Facebook and Twitter driving fans to see more on the CMA YouTube Channel, which will also feature extended interviews from select artists. The artists featured in the series will also be posting on their social channels.
The “CMA Awards 50/50” series is produced by Wilder Media.
“These are the moments from the Awards over the past five decades that resonate with our artists and fans,” Trahern said. “The CMA Awards reflect a moment in history and popular culture. Many of the artists we talked to for the series watched the show growing up. And now, going back and reflecting on some of those acceptance speeches and performances, evokes some great memories.”
