The Country Music Association is now offering a Lifetime Membership option for individuals that have been a member of CMA for 10 years and in the music industry for at least 15 years.
“We value our longstanding members and wanted to offer them a convenient membership option,” said Steve Moore, CMA Chief Executive Officer. “These members have made significant contributions to the industry and their accomplishments warrant our gratitude. Lifetime Membership guarantees that they will always have a voice in CMA.”
CMA membership for individual members is $100 annually. The CMA Lifetime Membership is available for a onetime fee of $1,000. Those interested in purchasing a Lifetime Membership can contact CMA’s Membership Department by calling (800) 788-3045.
CMA offers annual memberships to those currently employed full time in the Country Music industry. Individual membership includes benefits such as CMA Awards voting privileges, CMA Sound Healthcare, online access to the CMA Industry Directory, opportunity to purchase CMA Awards tickets and many other member discounts. Those interested in applying for membership can contact the CMA Membership Department or visit www.CMAworld.com.
Until now, CMA Lifetime Membership was complimentary for artists who were finalists for the CMA Awards, members of the Grand Ole Opry, members of the Country Music Hall of Fame, and recipients of the CMA Broadcast Personality Award. CMA currently has 695 Lifetime Members.
More than 6,400 music industry professionals and companies around the globe are members of the Country Music Association. Formed in 1958 as the first trade association for a single genre of music, the organization’s objectives are to serve as an educational and professional resource for the industry while advancing the growth of Country Music around the world. This is accomplished through CMA’s strategic imperatives – CMA Music Festival and the companion CMA Music Festival television special; CMA Country Christmas, which launched in 2010; and the crown jewel CMA Awards, which airs live Wednesday, Nov. 9 on the ABC Television Network.
