Fifteen Downtown Nashville Clubs To Host Events, Live Entertainment And More
NASHVILLE – For the party-hearty crowd, there’s no better place to be Thursday through Sunday, June 10-13 than Downtown Nashville during CMA Music Festival/Fan Fair®. Billed as “Country Music’s Biggest Party™,” the event is living up to its reputation with more clubs than ever participating in CMA Music Festival After HoursÔ in 2004.
When the lights go down on The Coliseum’s Nightly Concerts, the festivities are just beginning at 15 Downtown clubs and lounges, as CMA Music Festival After Hours™ gets underway. Food and beverage specials, live entertainment and special events are just a few items on the After Hours menu.
“The After Hours program has become a great tradition,” offered CMA Executive Director Ed Benson. “Not only is it an added treat to our out-of-town guests and a boost to Downtown businesses, but it’s also an opportunity for local Nashvillians to come out and hear great, live music at the clubs for little or no cover charge and take advantage of great specials.”
Clubs participating in CMA Music Festival After Hours™ include Bailey’s Pub and Grille; Big River Grille and Brewery; BB King’s Blues Club and Restaurant; Hard Rock Café; Legends Corner; Nashville Crossroads; Rippy’s Smokin’ Bar and Grill; Robert’s Western World; Ryman Auditorium; Second Fiddle; The Stage on Broadway; The Trap; Tootsies Orchid Lounge; Wildhorse Saloon; and Wolfy’s. Each club develops its own entertainment schedule and admission policies.
“All of the Downtown merchants are looking forward to CMA Music Festival week,” said Jack Cawthon, chairman of the Merchants Advisory Group of the DISTRICT, an organization dedicated to the economic enhancement of the Downtown area. “We are stocking up with food and beverage and entertainment. This will be our best week of the year.”
Cawthon, who owns Jack’s Bar-B-Que in Downtown Nashville, went on to express excitement over the CMA Music Festival summer special on the CBS Television Network. “We are looking forward to the national TV coverage. That will be good for Nashville.”
“CMA Music Festival After Hours builds on what Downtown Nashville offers every night – live music in more than 30 popular clubs and restaurants,” said Tom Turner, Executive Director of the Nashville Downtown Partnership, a group dedicated to establishing Downtown Nashville as a compelling urban center in which to live, work, play and invest. “For anyone who enjoys live entertainment, it’s a great time to hear why Nashville is Music City USA!”
