THE STARS OF NBC DAYTIME MAKE AN ENCORE APPEARANCE AT FAN FAIR 2002 IN JUNE

NASHVILLE – NBC Daytime and the Country Music Association have renewed their successful partnership for Fan Fair® 2002. Stars from NBC’s hit daytime dramas “Days of our Lives” and “Passions” will, for the second year in a row, travel from Los Angeles to Nashville to participate in the “World’s Biggest Country Music Festival,” held June 13-16 in Downtown Nashville.

A dozen of NBC Daytime’s hottest stars are scheduled to appear including fan favorites Peter Reckell (“Bo”), Melissa Reeves (“Jennifer”), Matthew Ashford (“Jack”), Matt Cedeno (“Brandon”), Kyle Lowder (“Brady”) and Arianne Zuker ("Nicole") from “Days of our Lives.”  Lindsay Korman (“Theresa”), James Hyde (“Sam”), Andrea Evans (“Rebecca”), Christopher Douglas (“Brian”), Justin Carroll (“David”) and Bruce Michael Hall (“Reese”) from “Passions” will also attend (talent scheduled to appear are subject to change).  Each of the stars will take part in the numerous activities surrounding Fan Fair. They will sign autographs in the Exhibit Hall at the Nashville Convention Center; make appearances at concerts at Adelphia Coliseum; and participate in media interviews. The stars will top off the weekend with special musical performances at the official “NBC Daytime Fan Fair After Hours Party” at the Wildhorse Saloon Saturday, June 15.

“We received such an overwhelming warm welcome from the Country Music fans and the artists last year that we couldn’t wait to return to Fan Fair again,” said Sheraton Kalouria, Senior Vice President, NBC Daytime. “We look forward to expanding our partnership with the CMA and increasing our involvement in this wonderful event.”

“The NBC Daytime stars really add a lot to this unique event and we are very happy to have them back,” said CMA Executive Director Ed Benson.

“The union of Fan Fair with NBC Daytime is a perfect fit for everyone,” said CMA Senior Director of Strategic Marketing Rick Murray. “The fans love having access to their favorite soap stars and the Country artists love hosting the actors. Last year, several friendships were struck up between artists and actors; and in fact, several of the daytime stars have made return visits to Nashville or visited artists backstage at concerts in Los Angeles. The team effort put forth by NBC Daytime has been seamless with Fan Fair event organizers and we are looking forward to more advance promotions and new elements to introduce on site at Fan Fair.”

NBC's two-hour soap block consists of perennial powerhouse “Days of our Lives” and the fastest growing network show in daytime, “Passions.”  NBC soaps have been the No. 1 choice among Women 18-34 for the last six years.  Members of the media can find additional information about NBC and its programming on the NBC Media Village Web site at www.nbcmv.com.
