NASHVILLE – The musical diversity of Fan Fair 2002 proves there is something for everyone as additional artists are added to the lineup. More than 40 hours of musical performances, with a mix of Country Music’s most loved artists and rising newcomers, will cover the four-days from start to finish of “The World’s Biggest Country Music Festival™,” June 13-16 in Downtown Nashville.

Reigning CMA Male Vocalist of the Year Toby Keith and the legendary Earl Scruggs have been added to the list of performers on the Universal Music & Video Distribution show at Adelphia Coliseum on Sunday, June 16.

An additional day of shows will be added at Riverfront Park Stages, where Fan Fair will spotlight a broad range of musical influences and styles from Classic to Alternative Country, Bluegrass to Texas-style, and much more. This year there will be performances on the Riverfront Park Stages on all four days of Fan Fair, giving Fan Fair attendees even more opportunities to hear their favorite artists perform. The variety alone is reason enough to spread out a blanket and stake a claim on a piece of turf on the west bank of the Cumberland River at Nashville’s popular Riverfront Park. With two side-by-side stages, the shows at Riverfront Park Stages will keep moving with performances by more than 40 artists already scheduled.

Among the great music happening at Riverfront Park Stages are three themed shows – a Bluegrass Show; Best of Texas Show and Billy Block’s Western Beat Show. The Bluegrass Show, presented by the International Bluegrass Music Association, will feature Doyle Lawson & Quicksilver, Lonesome River Band, the Nashville Bluegrass Band and others. The Best of Texas Show will spotlight performances from Sonny Burgess, Deryl Dodd, Radney Foster, Hal Ketchum, Leslie Satcher and Dale Watson. Block’s Western Beat Show will showcase several of today’s “alt.country” favorites, including the Bastard Sons of Johnny Cash, Jill Block, Rodney Crowell, Jubal Foster, Walt Wilkins and a very special surprise guest.

In addition, several record label groups will be hosting Riverfront shows featuring great performances by some of Country Music’s hottest young acts. The RCA Label Group will showcase Tracy Byrd, Kellie Coffey and Tommy Shane Steiner, with other artists to be announced soon. MCA Records will present Sons of the Desert, among other artists.   DreamWorks Records, Mercury Records, and Republic Records will combine forces to spotlight Steve Azar, Eric Heatherly, the Marie Sisters, James Otto, Anthony Smith and Darryl Worley.

During the four days, Riverfront Park Stages will also host performances by Sherrié Austin, David Ball, Eddie Bayers & The Players, the Bellamy Brothers, Lane Brody, Jeff Carson, Earl Thomas Conley, Len Doolin, the Fox Brothers, J. Michael Harter, Billy Hoffman, Casey Jones, Joanie Keller, McBride & the Ride, the Oak Ridge Boys, Eddy Raven, Tim Rushlow, Dan Seals, Shenandoah, Wayne Warner and Gene Watson, with others to be announced soon.
