CMA Songwriters Series Debuts at SXSW Music Festival Scott Frans March 21, 2016 NASHVILLE – CMA Songwriters Series returned to Austin to make its South by Southwest Music Festival debut at the Paramount Theatre Saturday. 2014 CMA Song of the Year Award winners Kacey Musgraves and Shane McAnally were joined by hit songwriter and two-time CMA Awards nominee Josh Osborne to perform for a full house and share stories behind their top songs. More than 60 CMA members and other special guests gathered at a reception in the Paramount Theatre’s Houdini Lounge before the performance. This year celebrates “The 50th Annual CMA Awards” and with a combined 23 CMA Award nominations, including nine for Song of the Year, Musgraves, McAnally, and Osborne exemplify the recent history of Country Music’s Biggest Night™. 2016 marks the 12th season for the CMA Songwriters Series, which kicked off the first show of this year at indigo at The O2 in London during the C2C Festival.
