NASHVILLE – The CMA Songwriters Series culminates its 10-year anniversary celebration in the venue where it all began, Joe’s Pub in New York City, with a two-night event on Dec. 3 and 4. Celebrating its decade-long run, the CMA Songwriters Series features songwriter and host Bob DiPiero performing alongside Radney Foster, Brett James, and Craig Wiseman. Tickets are on sale today and show times for both nights are 6:30 and 9:00 PM/ET.
Series Features CMA Awards Nominees Brandy Clark and Jaren Johnston
NASHVILLE – As part of the events and activities leading up to “The 48th Annual CMA Awards” on Wednesday, Nov. 5, the CMA Songwriters Series will return to Nashville on Tuesday, Nov. 4 (9:00 PM/CT) at the CMA Theater at the Country Music Hall of Fame and Museum (222 Fifth Ave. South). The CMA Songwriters Series will feature 2014 CMA Awards nominees Brandy Clark and Jaren Johnston (other songwriters to be announced soon).
Clark received two nominations this year. She is nominated in the New Artist of the Year category as well as for Song of the Year for the Kacey Musgraves hit “Follow Your Arrow,” which she co-wrote with Musgraves and Shane McAnally. Clark has also written songs recorded by Miranda Lambert (“Mama’s Broken Heart”), The Band Perry (“Better Dig Two”), and Reba (“The Day She Got Divorced”).

NASHVILLE – The CMA Songwriters Series brings its 10th Anniversary season to The Parish in Austin on Wednesday, Oct. 15 (8:00 PM/CT; doors at 7:00 PM/CT). Celebrating its decade-long run, the CMA Songwriters Series features songwriter and host Bob DiPiero performing alongside Rob Hatch, Jamey Johnson, and Raúl Malo.Tickets go on sale Friday, Sept. 12 (10:00 AM/CT).
Songwriter Hatch has penned hits for Rhett Akins, Terri Clark, George Jones, Jake Owen, and Gretchen Wilson, as well as having several songs cut by Johnson. Most recently Hatch celebrated No. 1 songs with Randy Houser’s “Goodnight Kiss” and Lee Brice’s “I Don’t Dance,” for which he has been nominated for the 2014 CMA Song of the Year Award.
If there’s any doubt that something magical, unpredictable and inspirational can happen when country songwriters are gathered together, incredulity was put to rest once and for all on the stage at New York’s Best Buy Theater in Times Square on Wednesday night, as tunesmiths Darius Rucker, Bob Di Piero, Luke Laird and Rivers Rutherford sang, played, joked and regaled enthusiastic concertgoers with stories of how some of their best-known songs came to life.

NASHVILLE – Sun up to sun down, the announcement of the final nominees for “The 48th Annual CMA Awards” will take over New York City on Wednesday, Sept. 3 with host and CMA Award winner Darius Rucker.
“I know what it feels like to be nominated for a CMA Award, and I was happy to accept the invitation to announce the final nominees and have this opportunity to deliver good news to my friends in the industry,” said Rucker. “Set the alarm guys, this is worth waking up for.”
NASHVILLE – The CMA Songwriters Series blew into Chicago Wednesday for a night of stories and songs at Joe’s Bar as it continues its 10th anniversary season. Songwriter and CMA Board member Bob DiPiero hosted and performed alongside Monty Powell, Striking Matches, and Charlie Worsham.
It was a night of jokes, red Solo cups and Number One hits when Dierks Bentley sat down with a group of songwriters for an informal concert filmed by PBS for its superlative concert program, Front and Center.
