CMA Partners With Feeding America® To Further Expand Its Music Industry COVID Support (MICS) Initiative

CMA’s Investment with Feeding America to Help Provide 4 Million Meals* Across the U.S.   

CMA Launches Donation Challenge to Fund Additional 1 Million Meals*  

CMA has announced a new partnership with Feeding America® as part of its ongoing Music Industry COVID Support (MICS) initiative. CMA’s investment with Feeding America will help provide an estimated 4 million meals* to individuals and families in several cities across the country, many heavily populated with music industry professionals. Markets include Atlanta, Austin, Boston, Chicago, Dallas, Houston, Los Angeles, Miami, Nashville, New Orleans, New York, Orlando, Philadelphia, Portland, Seattle and Washington, DC.  

To further boost supply to food banks across the country, CMA has also launched a donation challenge to fund an additional 1 million meals* through Feeding AmericaVisit CMAworld.com/feeding-america to learn more and join the donation challenge. All funding provided by CMA and through the donation challenge will increase access to food and other essential household supplies, and help to support food bank operations, which may include securing equipment and staffing.  

“We see firsthand the ongoing need for critical resources including food supply here in Nashville and throughout Tennessee, where more than 50,000 music professionals have been affected by the pandemic, but there are hundreds of thousands of individuals in cities all around the country who continue to suffer,” says Sarah Trahern, CMA Chief Executive Officer. “We are so proud to partner with Feeding America to expand their efforts in serving people who are food insecure. While it is encouraging to see our industry begin to reopen, we know we still have a long way to go, which makes our MICS efforts even more crucial at this time.”

*$1 helps to provide at least ten meals secured by Feeding America® on behalf of local member food banks.
