CMA Presents CRS Keynote Featuring Rascal Flatts “20 Years Of Country Radio Success” Followed By Welcome Reception

CMA presented an in-depth Q&A with Country trio Rascal Flatts at the annual Country Radio Seminar’s keynote event Wednesday, Feb. 19 at the Omni Nashville Hotel. Gary LeVox, Joe Don Rooney and Jay DeMarcus at down with CMA Chief Executive Officer Sarah Trahern, where they shared insight into their 20-year journey together, the barriers they had to overcome and the keys to their continuous success on the Country radio charts. During the event, the group reminisced on a tremendous 20-year career, sharing entertaining stories about life on the road, from music video mishaps to the power of storytelling through Country songwriters. When asked about the farewell tour, the group highlighted the tour as a platform to show fans and Country radio gratitude for years of support. “It’s about saying thank you and sharing love,” LeVox stated. The group also admitted that saying goodbye would not be without its difficulties. “When next year comes, there is no tour and I can’t look to my left and see my cousin and Joe Don, it’s going to be sad,” DeMarcus stated. Following the keynote event, CMA sponsored a welcome reception featuring performances by CMA KixStart Artist Scholarship recipients Angie K, Everette and Kylie Morgan.
